I've been told time and time again, that virtual influencers are all the rage and -if only- I'd put one out then I would be rewarded with a massive following etc... Saying "I'm pretty sceptical about that" would be an understatement.. Nevertheless, Patricia and I decided to put that theory to test. We carefully crafted a backstory (to be revealed over time), personality and a series of (more or less) visually consistent images of a young person that Patricia christened "Jaide" and let her loose on Instagram (@jaide_withani). A locally hosted LLM equipped with Jaides predefined personality is responsible for the image descriptions as well as direct interactions with other users. I'm super curious how people will react to her and what will come out of it... In my book this is what art is all about.
