That AI image generators such as Stable Diffusion have opened up new possibilities in the world of digital art is something that I fully expected to happen.. But I never pictured anyone using trusty old SD1.5 one day to craft detailed pixel art creations, but here we are!

The reason why I thought nobody would do that is because creating pixel art using AI is no easy feat. While Stable Diffusion 1.5 has made significant strides in generating high-quality images, its ability to create intricate pixel art out of the box is pretty much non-existent. Scale is one big problem and so is lack of appropriate training data.. but both can be tackled fairly easily. The process still requires a great deal of patience, skill, and creativity, but in my book the end result is worth the effort!
